Jack Fincham

Jack Fincham was born on May 9, 1991, in Kent, South-East London, United Kingdom. His estranged father is Mark Gard and his mother is Samantha Fincham. They are divorced. Jack has a younger brother named Oliver and a sister named Ruby. He has been dating and living with Dani Dyer since 2018 and they plan to marry in 2019.

Jack Fincham started his career by selling pens and later went on to become the Sales Director at ‘DMG Office Supplies and Print Services’, a position he held before going to participate in the reality TV series ‘Love Island’. In the meantime, Jack had already been active on Twitter and Instagram and gained a huge following, especially due to his lifestyle pictures and dating life. It didn’t hurt that he often posted endearing pictures of himself with his brother, little sister, and grandmother. Slowly gaining popularity, especially amongst women, Jack soon found himself being followed by thousands on social media.

Consequently, a chance to star in the reality TV series came knocking around this time. Jack Fincham applied to be a contestant on the fourth season of ITV2’s dating reality show ‘Love Island’. Although apprehensive at first, due to the constant exposure that comes with being a part of a TV show, he didn’t want to miss the opportunity. Jack entered the island on Day 1 along with Dani Dyer, Laura Anderson, Wes Nelson, Samira Mighty, and others. The first episode aired on June 4, 2018, and his eyes were immediately drawn to Dani, who is the daughter of veteran TV actor Danny Dyer. Their relationship was liked by fans of the show from the start and many even favored them as eventual winners.

The ‘Love Island’ journey was anything but smooth for Jack. He was very conscious about his body which wasn’t like the typical abs and muscle showing physique usually seen in these shows. This became clearly evident in the fireman challenge where he had to rescue Dani while wearing suspenders and hot pants. Still he decided to own his body and his confidence sent a body positive message to viewers, endearing him to all.

His biggest challenge came while trying to convince Dani initially about being his girlfriend. Jack’s past dating history, including him cheating on some of his ex-girlfriends became a problem for Dani who struggled to trust him. Even after they became an official couple, there was another major hiccup. Mid-show, all the boys were taken to a second island and to add to Dani’s horror, six new girls joined the show including Jack’s ex-girlfriend Ellie Jones.

Things got worse after she received a text saying Jack was spending time with Ellie. But Jack remained loyal and later came back to the island to declare his love for Dani. The only couple to have stayed together from the start, went on to win the show on July 30, 2018, with an unprecedented 79.66 % of the votes.

In July 2018, both Jack and Dani were left outraged after his brother, Oliver. commented that Dani was “not his normal type”. They both criticized Oliver severely. Later in August 2018, it was revealed on several media outlets that Jack’s estranged father is the convicted drug lord Mark Gard, who went to prison for smuggling cocaine. In September 2018, reports emerged of Jack canceling PAs in nightclubs due to personal reasons, losing thousands of pounds.
