Douglass went professional with the launch of his own You Tube channel, ‘jacksflims’ in June 2006. His first video upload featured his family members in a commercial for a device invented by him called ‘Handy Pen’. ‘WTF Blanket’, a parody on the ‘Snuggie Blanket’, was his next popular upload in Jan 2009. Most of his videos during this period were parodies about infomercials and a lot on Apple products. ‘Your Grammar Sucks’ was one of his greatest successes from the time it started in June 2011. The 100th episode was released on November 20, 2015, in a one hour video, featuring many of his fellow You Tubers.

His popularity saw him appear in the 2016 edition of You Tube Rewind. In the intervening period he started two more popular series ‘JackAsk’ in January 2014 and ‘Yesterday I Asked You’ (YIAY) in February 2015. His popularity increased and his channel ‘jacksflims’ was listed on ‘New Media Rockstars Top 100 Channels’ as 54th. ‘Jacksfilms’ success motivated him to launch three more channels called ‘jackisanerd’, ‘featuredfridays’ and ‘SHUTUPDENNIS’. His series ‘Jack Talks Trailers’ was started in November 2015, where he reviews trailers of the movies released in the past week. Besides ‘jacksfilms’, he made his mark by playing the role of ‘Intern 2’ on ‘My Music’, which has over 492,000 subscribers and over 44.6 million video views. He also took on voicing Jimmy, the protagonist, in the animated series, ‘16-Bit High’ launched by Smosh Games and portrayed ‘Pipprayed’ in the movie ‘Bob Thunder : Internet Assassin’.

His flair for comedy and talent for music supplemented each other and his viewers grew. Jack’s musical talent is also showcased on his channel with his music videos where he plays the piano, guitar and ukulele. ‘Valentine’s Day Song’ (2012) and ‘All I Want For Christmas Is A Girlfriend’ (2007) are some of his musical hits. Today he has a net worth of near about $ 2 million and more than 100 million video views with over two million subscribers.

Jack Douglass was born on June 30, 1988 in Columbia, Maryland. He is of Irish decent and has two older sisters. He did his elementary and middle schooling from Maryland, graduated from Atholton High School and completed a degree in Film, with a minor in Music Theory, from the American University, Washington DC. He dated Kristen Klessig from 2010 to 2012. After his break-up with Klessig, he got engaged to Erin Elizabeth Erin. She is also known as 2toesup and is a musician who has appeared with Jack in many of his videos, including ‘Hot Irish Girl’. He had a short break in his career in 2013, when he was admitted in hospital due to severe abdominal pain. Nothing to get worried about, Jack is back in action!
