J.D. Scott

James Daniel “J.D.” Scott is the oldest son of James “Jim” Scott and Joanna Scott. He was born on May 27, 1976 in Vancouver, Maple Ridge, British Columbia. His mother, Joanne, had worked as a paralegal before J.D. Scott was born, while his father, Jim, had been associated with the film industry till the late 1990s as an actor, assistant director, and stuntman. J.D. shares a strong bond with his parents and younger twin brothers and he definitely makes it a point to visit his family on holidays and special occasions.

J.D. Scott currently lives in Las Vegas and he is absolutely in love with the city, inspiring his brothers to build a vacation home there. He is lactose intolerant and he detests mushrooms and refers to them as ‘fungus’ and his ‘mortal enemy’. In his leisure time he loves to watch the TV show ‘The Simpsons,’ eat Subway sandwiches, and cheer for the Vancouver Canucks hockey team.

He is very fond of tattoos and got his first when he was just 17, following up with several more in the years to come. He even admits getting one tattoo on a sudden impulse, when he was drunk. He is very active on social media and has a loyal fan following who dig his recent posts about his countless adventures. On a funny note, he was once rumored to be gay after he uploaded a picture wearing a girl’s wig and a costume on his Instagram account. In reality, he is a dedicated boyfriend to Annalee Belle, who is a makeup artist and model.

James Daniel Scott is widely known for being the eldest of the legendary Scott brothers; Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott being the other two. He has proved his mettle as a creative individual and an amazing entrepreneur by taking well-calculated risks in his early career. He is an honorary founder of YFG, which is a Canadian sketch comedy ensemble. With a strong corporate record and unmatched business ethics, this young entrepreneur has been featured on the list of Top Hundred Men of Success in 2014, published by the MyVegas magazine. J.D. Scott has participated in many festival films, even directed a few.

Since his entire family has been a part of the entertainment industry, it is obvious that this talent runs in his blood. Before he decided to start a new business venture—a production company—he used to be attached with Caesar’s Entertainment and frequently performed in Las Vegas. Managing his production company (Scott Brothers Entertainment) successfully till date, J.D has produced at least 50 hours of top-notch digital content and increased the popularity of the brand.

As an actor, he has taken part in various TV shows and programs with his younger twin brothers and is much loved by the audience. His endless talent has made him a smart, confident talker and he hosts a weekly syndicated talk radio show on the Corus Radio Network, known as the ‘Off Topic with the Scott Brothers.’

His filmography is a short but fruitful list that includes ‘Pumpkin Wars’(2012), ‘Makeover Manor’ (2013), ‘Brothers Big Day Off’ (2014), ‘Property Brothers: At Home’ (2014),‘Property Brothers: At Home on the Ranch’ (2015), and ‘Brothers Take New Orleans’ (2016). Moreover, he has hosted the ‘DIY Insider’ show as well. And last but not the least, he was named a global ambassador for Global Vision where he contributed significantly to the promotion of charity work.
