Then from 2000 to 2005, he played the role of Det. Baldwin Jones in the drama ‘NYPD Blue’. During this time, the actor also did the movies ‘Taxi’ and ‘Are We There Yet?’ After this, he began playing the role of Issac Wright in the series ‘Shark’ and continued in this role until 2008. During this time, Simmons also got featured as Dr. Walter Chambers in the flick ‘South of Pico’.
