Hassan Jameel was born on October 22, 1988 in Saudi Arabia. He is the son of Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, who currently serves as the chairman and president of Abdul Latif Jameel Company Ltd since the death of his father and founder of the company, Abdul Latif Jameel, in 1993. Hassan Jameel is the middle child of his father and is touted as the heir to their family business.

Hassan Jameel instantaneously earned worldwide attention in June 2017 after he was spotted spending intimate time with famous Barbadian singer, Rihanna, in a swimming pool in Spain. His initial fame was merely as the singer's handsome and apparently rich romantic interest. However, the fans of Rihanna were quick to rummage through pages on the internet to put a name to the yet unknown businessman. As soon as he was identified as the second in command of one of the most affluent car companies in the Middle East, the news spread rapidly that the multi-millionaire singer had a billionaire boyfriend who is technically one of the world's richest men. It is not only his net worth that interested the media and Rihanna's fandom. Within a short period of time, media outlets began reporting on his previous involvements with other celebrities, most notably supermodel Naomi Campbell, with whom he was spotted spending quality time while watching a Stevie Wonder concert in Hyde Park, London the previous summer. It was also claimed that she regularly came to the UK for the past few months to spend time with him. As it became clear that his involvement with Rihanna was more than a fling, there was renewed interest in his past romantic relationships.

Tabloids had already tagged him as the ex-boyfriend of supermodel Naomi Campbell after cursory research revealed them spending intimate time at a festival in London in July last year. However, which came as a shock to some of Rihanna's fans is that within a few weeks of them being spotted together, it was reported that her new boyfriend had been married before to art expert Lina Lazaar, who had previously been named among the 'Top 10 Most Influential Women in Middle Eastern Art'. They reportedly bonded over their mutual admiration for art and got married at a luxury ceremony at the Paris Opera House in 2012. His family kept the entire thing under tight wraps, but it has been learned that he had divorced Lazaar long before he started dating Rihanna, and reportedly Lazaar has also moved on with a new partner.
