Mykie was born on November 1, 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles. She once met and took a picture with actor Jeff Goldblum on the set of the film ‘Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie.’

Mykie launched her channel Glam&Gore on March 16, 2014. Her first video was posted under the title 'Mykie welcomes you to Glam&Gore’. This was followed by a basic makeup tutorial video in which she demonstrated the basics of makeup blending. On May 6, 2014, Mykie shared her first special effects makeup video called 'Torn Face FX Makeup Tutorial'. In this video, she demonstrated how she used latex, cotton and alcohol activated colors to create the specific look. This tutorial was much liked by her audience. Currently having over 3 million views, the makeup video is definitely worth a watch! This was followed by another special effects tutorial titled ''Frozen Frostbite Elsa Makeup Tutorial'. Just like the previous one, this video too earned millions of views in no time. The success of the special effects videos inspired the vlogger to focus more on creating such videos.

Within a few years, Mykie became a well-known name on the platform. Today, the self-taught makeup expert has over 3.3 million subscribers on her channel Glam&Gore. The channel has earned more than 330 million views till date.
