Gavin MacIntosh

Gavin MacIntosh was born on March 22, 1999 in Tucson, Arizona, the United States. He has two younger brothers, Grant MacIntosh and Gage MacIntosh. He relocated with his family to Hermosa Beach, California, and attended Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, graduating in 2016.

When he is not acting or modeling, Gavin loves to engage in sports like skateboarding, biking, and soccer. He also likes to sketch, paint, and write songs.

MacIntosh is an ally of the LGBT community and campaigns for their rights and equality. He also supports movements that advocate against bullying in schools, encouraging school kids to accept each other’s differences and be good to each other.

In 2010, Gavin MacIntosh debuted in his acting career with a role in the dramatic short film ‘Turns’. In the following year, he appeared in a few more short films ‘The Science of Death’ as Young Martin Thomas; ‘Soulman: The Movie’ as Bobby; and ‘Sweet Dreams’ as Jake. Also in 2011, he played Alex in the short film ‘The Bluewater Tale’; Jake McCormick in ‘The Art of Paying Rent’; and Young Jonathan in ‘Breathe’. The same year, he made his feature film debut in ‘Blood Games: Sanctioned to Die’, where he played Mark Paterson along with his brother Gage.

In 2011, he made his television debut with a guest role as a member of Ron's scout troop in the comedy series ‘Parks and Recreation’, aired on NBC. He played Wayne in the episode ‘Pawnee Rangers’ of the series. The following year, he portrayed Young Donny in the short film ‘Knocked Down’. Also in 2012, he played Young Brad in one episode of the science-fiction drama TV series ‘H.O.P.E.’ He also appeared in the television series ‘Raising Hope’, where he portrayed Burt's teenaged brother Bruce.

His breakthrough role came in 2013, when he started doing a recurring role in the family drama series ‘The Fosters’, aired on ABC. He portrayed Connor Stevens in 25 episodes, from 2013 to 2016. Connor Stevens was portrayed as a warm character who develops feelings for the shy foster child Jude Jacob Foster, prompting Jude to question his sexuality. He also played Parker Booth in two episodes of ‘Bones’, a crime procedural drama TV series that aired on Fox.

Gavin is also a model and has been appearing in several commercials since he was ten years old. He has been seen in various television campaigns for Pizza Hut, Goodyear Tyres, Oscar Mayer Lunchables, Lowe's, and Honda. He has also appeared in several print advertisements for Target, Gap, Mattel, Porsche, Hang Ten, Tom Tailor, and others.

An episode in ‘The Fosters’ featured the youngest same-sex kissing scene in the history of American television—depicted by the characters played by MacIntosh and Byerly. The onscreen kiss garnered MacIntosh both fame and notoriety. The scene was listed in the Seven Best Moments From ABC Family The Wrap Rewind 2015. The scene was also featured at number 9 in ‘The 19 Biggest LGBT Moments On TV In 2015’.

When YouTube put an age restriction for access to the video of the same-sex kissing scene, MacIntosh took the issue to social media, which prompted a campaign, and YouTube had to remove the age restriction within a day.
