Frank Grillo

During his college days, Frank Grillo had many affairs and many girlfriends. He was once caught kissing his girlfriend in the college canteen; something that Frank is still embarrassed to talk about! But other than his college day-affairs, Frank has led a very normal life and maintained a very clean image.

He got married to Kathy in 1991 and together they have a son, Remy, born in 1997. The couple went through a divorce in 1998 and ended their marriage.

In 1996, Frank met actress Wendy Moniz on the sets of ‘Guiding Light’ when he was still married to his then-wife Kathy. After his divorce from Kathy, they moved in together in the same year and later in October 2000, they got married. Together they have two sons; the elder, Liam, was born in 2004 and the younger, Rio, was born in 2008.

Frank Anthony Grillo was born in New York City, New York on June 8, 1965, to a family of Italian heritage. He has two younger siblings.

Grillo graduated from the New York University with a degree in business and then spent a year working in the Wall Street. He later got an opportunity to appear in a commercial for ‘Miller Genuine Draft’ beer and proceeded to pursue a career in the show business.

After being asked to appear in a commercial for the ‘Miller Genuine Draft’ beer, Frank Grillo left his Wall Street life and proceeded to appear in commercials for American Express and Sure deodorant.

Good-looking and talented, he ventured into acting and made his film debut in 1992 in a film titled ‘The Mambo Kings’. Later he appeared in films like ‘Deadly Rivals’ and ‘Deadly Charades’ before getting a role in ‘Minority Report’ in 2002.

After appearing in several smaller roles in various movies Frank Grillo finally got a big break in the horror film ‘Mother's Day’ (2010) and the subsequent year he played the role of Frank Campana, an MMA trainer with a very unusual way of training his fighters, in the movie ‘Warrior’. He appeared alongside Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton in the commercially hit movie.

The following years proved to be fruitful for him as he continued working in important roles in popular movies like the survival thriller ‘The Grey’, where he appeared alongside Liam Neeson and ‘End of Watch’ he played the role of ‘Sarge’ alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.

He was signed by the Marvel Cinematic Universe to play the HYDRA agent ‘Brock Rumlow’ in the ‘Captain America’ franchise in 2014. This marked a very eventful phase in his career.

In 2014 Frank Grillo was signed for the role of HYDRA agent ‘Brock Rumlow’ by the Marvel studios. He first appeared in the film ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ alongside Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson. In the next segment of the franchise ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ he appeared alongside several popular celebrities like Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner. The popularity of the action-packed films has made him one of the most popular movie antagonists among the fans.

He played the role of Frank Campana in the sports drama film ‘Warrior’ and appeared in the DirecTV drama series ‘Kingdom’ where he played the role of an MMA coach named Alvey Kulina alongside popular actors like Nick Jonas and Jonathan Tucker. Between 2014 and 2017 he appeared in a total of 40 episodes in the series.
