Farruko

Farruko was born on May 2, 1991 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The details about his parents and childhood are not known. Currently, he resides with his wife Kairy Lopez.

In 2014, Farruko was nominated twice for Premios Juventud for his song "6 AM", in the categories Best Urban Song and Best Urban Fusion/Performance (with J Balvin) at the 15th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.

Farruko began his career in 2009 when he started posting his songs on MySpace. His first song “Sexo Fuera del Planeta” became a moderate hit and ultimately helped him gain thousands of followers on the platform. After exploring the potential of other social media websites, Farruko gained massive success on the internet and his popularity caught the attention of many radio and music industry executives.

The Puerto Rican singer’s debut album titled ‘El Talento del Bloque’ came out when he was 18. Released by Siente Music, most of its songs were self-penned by Farruko. The track set became an instant hit and after its success, several singles followed. Some of the highlights from ‘El Talento del Bloque’ were the collaborative tunes "Su Hija Me Gusta" with José Feliciano, "Traime a Tu Amiga" with Julio Voltio and Arcangel, and "Ella No Es Facil" with Cosculluela.

Farruko then released his second album ‘The Most Powerful Rookie’ in 2012. Two years later he came up with his album ‘Farruko Presenta: Los Menores’ that included the notable collaborations "Salgo" with Ñengo Flow, Arcangel, Genio y Kelmitt and D. Ozi; "Interesada" with Luigi 21+; and "Bebe Conmigo" with J. Balvin.

Then in February 2015, the singer released "Lejos de Aquí," a remix track with Yandel. In June that year, he collaborated with Alejandra Guzman on her single "Adios." In July, Farruko issued the pre-release song titled "Sunset" that featured Shaggy and Nicky Jam. In August, he issued ‘The Ones,’ a compilation of his hit singles and collaborations. In 2017, the vocalist released his sixth studio album ‘TrapXficante’. The following year, his album ‘Gangalee’ came out.
