Born in Texas, Eva Jacqueline Longoria was the fourth and youngest daughter of Enrique Longoria, Jr. and Ella Eva Mireles, both of whom are Mexican Americans.
Raised a Roman Catholic, she studied at the Texas A&M University-Kingsville and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
In 1998, Longoria became Miss Corpus Christi, USA, while pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She also took part in another talent contest in Los Angeles, after college, where she was spotted by a theatrical agent.
