Erin Andrews began dating professional hockey player Jarret Stoll in December 2012. Four years later, the couple were engaged and on June 24, 2017, they married in an intimate sunset ceremony in Montana. Having previously lived in Atlanta, Georgia, she now resides in Los Angeles, California.

In September 2016, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, undergoing a surgery on October 11. Two weeks later, she was back at work. On November 17, her doctor informed her that the margins were clear and neither radiation nor chemotherapy would be needed.

Erin was born on May 4, 1978, in Lewiston, Maine to parents Steven and Paula Andrews. Her mother is a teacher, while her father is a six-time Emmy Award winning TV journalist. When she was five years old, her family relocated to San Antonio, and 18 months later to Valrico, Florida after her father landed a job as an investigative reporter for NBC affiliate WFLA-TV. The Andrews have another daughter besides Erin, her younger sister Kendra, who is a professional dancer and actress.

She grew up watching NBA games with her father and became an ardent fan of Boston Celtics in the process. She drew inspiration from the careers of Hannah Storm, Melissa Stark, Lesley Visser, and Suzy Kolber in her pursuit of becoming a female sportscaster.

She was educated at the Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Florida, where she wore many hats, being a member the dance team and student government as well as the National Honors Society. Besides the traditional education, she also attended the Brandon School of Dance Arts In Seffner, Florida. Being a tomboy, she did not have many female friends in high school, preferring the company of boys, with whom she talked about sports.

After she graduated from the school in 1996, Andrews enrolled at the University of Florida from where she received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Telecommunications in 2000. She also served as a reporter for the ‘College World Series’, ‘Little League World Series’, and ‘Great Outdoor Games’. Between 2008 and 2010, she was also the reporter doing live coverage of the annual Scripps National Spelling Bee event for ESPN and ABC.

Following her signing a major endorsement deal with Reebok in January 2011, Andrews made a comment linking Texas Christian University Horned Frogs football players’ slipping on the turf to their use of Nike shoes. Subsequently, ESPN issued new guidelines on endorsements for its employees, effectively compelling her to end the contract within a year.

Andrews left ESPN for Fox Sports in June 2012 and became the first host of Fox College Football's Studio show. Eddie George and Joey Harrington joined her on the table as analysts later. She also served as the guest host of ‘Fox College Football Kickoff’ and ‘Fox College Saturday’ on Fox Sports 1, following the channel’s launch. In July 2013, she began to report from the sideline on Fox's lead NFL broadcasting crew, replacing Pam Oliver.

She first appeared on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in its tenth season as a contestant and would go on to be ranked third with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy from among 11 couples. Andrews replaced Brooke Burke-Charvet as the co-host of the show starting with the 18th season in February 2014.

In 2008, Andrews was secretly filmed through a peephole at the Nashville Marriott near Vanderbilt University and again at the Radisson Airport Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by Michael David Barrett, a former Chicago-area insurance executive. One of those videos, in which she was seen completely nude in her hotel room, was released online on July 16, 2009. It quickly went viral, leading to Barrett’s arrest by the FBI on October 2. He pleaded guilty to the interstate stalking charges on December 15.

The authorities found another video in Barrett’s hard drive, which was never made public. On March 15, 2010, US District Judge Manuel Real sentenced Barrett to 30 months of imprisonment as well as ordered him to have supervised probation for three years after release, pay US$5,000 in fines, and US$7,366 in restitution.

In October 2015, Andrews filed a civil lawsuit against Barrett and Nashville Marriott for $75 million. The trial began in late February 2016, and ended on March 7, with the jury awarding her $55 million in damages.
