He debuted the character of eGO the Cholo on his first YouTube channel ShakinMyD with videos like ‘How to be a Cholo (Original)’, ‘Sexy White Chick and Cholo!’, ‘MTVcribs Cholo edition’ etc. The growing popularity of the character and his channel prompted Eric to create a more professional channel by the name of ‘SUPEReeeGO’. He brought the character of eGO the Cholo with him to his new channel. He then created the ‘Cholo Adventures’ (2008–2017) web series. Some of the most popular videos of this series were ‘Cholo Adventures 30 - Browns Vs Blacks’ ‘Cholo Adventures 33 – Joy Ride’, ‘How To Be A Player (W/ eGO the Cholo)’, ‘Just a Friend’ (Cholo Version)’, and ‘Today was a GOOD DAY to be a CHOLO’. Each of the videos has received millions of views making the series one of the most watched comedic web series on YouTube. It acted as a platform to catapult him to instant YouTube stardom.
Eric has enjoyed success in his other series as well. In 2014, he was successful with his web series ‘Pedro’s Auto’ where he portrayed the titular character of Pedro. He achieved similar success with the YouTube series ‘Jealous Boyfriend’ (2014–2016). ‘Jealous Girlfriend Part 1’ was a spin-off series which was also hugely popular. Earlier in 2015, he participated on the reality game show ‘Photobomb’ and was seen on ‘Saving Lives’, ‘Ladies of Rap’, and ‘A Lesson in Love’.
In 2016, Eric was seen on the mini web series ‘Single By 30’ (2016), created by Wesley Chan. He was also part of TV mini-series ‘12 Deadly Days’ the same year and ‘Cool Story Bro’. In recent years he has been hugely popular with his parodies and satirical videos on typical Mexican stereotypes. Some of his most viewed videos include, ‘Driving with a Mexican Mom’, ‘Mexicans Get Pulled Over By Cops’, ‘When Couples Move in Together’, and ‘My Mexican Tia’. His web series ‘You Know You're Mexican If..’ has been received well by viewers as well and has been receiving millions of views.
He is considered to be one of the most influential Latin-American YouTubers and that has even led to an invitation from Sony Pictures in 2017, to attend a private screening of ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’. He depicted the entire experience through his vlog ‘Jumanji Welcomes Me to the Jungle (Ft. The Rock, Kevin Hart and Jack Black)’.
