For someone who claims to have been ‘lost’ in life during her teenage years, Emily Skye’s journey to becoming fitness icon is an inspirational one! A wellness coach and advocator of healthy living, Skye was totally lost in her early life before finding solace in modelling. The profession gave her a sense of self-worth and dignity but insecurities, depression and unhealthy living continued to blot her mind and body. It was only when her health started deteriorating further that Skye realized that simply looking perfect would not help her as it was more important to feel healthy. This realization inspired Skye to start her journey to fitness and health. She took up exercise instead of modelling, thus taking up a healthier approach to life. She branched into fitness modelling and eventually began studying physical training, thus becoming a personal trainer. The benefits of strength training helped her adopt weight training. The new approach to life not just changed Emily’s body but her quality of life as well. Her online personal training programs are a big hit and inspire people to lead a healthy life.
Emily Skye was born on January 7, 1985 in Australia. Her father left her mother when she was just two. Raised single-handedly by her mother, Skye went through a lot of insecurities as a child. She suffered from a lack of self-worth and was lost in life, not knowing what to do. She always felt she was not good for anything and as such, tried out multiple options before finally laying her hands on modelling. In her early years, Skye modelled for popular magazines in Australia. The assignments gave her a sense of self-worth. However, Skye, until then, didn’t endorse the benefits of being fit and healthy. She had an athletic body but remained insecure, depressed, unhealthy and basically unhappy. The turn of events came in when Skye realized that though walking on the ramp gave her a sense of happiness, it caused a negative impact on her life. She was only concerned about ‘looking perfect’ than ‘feeling healthy’. Her journey into becoming a fitness model icon is inspirational and encouraging. She has today not just upturned her life’s motto but in the process caused a change in the life of everyone associated with her.
