Elliana Walmsley

Elliana began dancing when she was only 18 months old. She first trained in ballet under the renowned dance academy, Joffrey Ballet. In 2015, she was crowned ‘Miss Petite Dancer America’ and the following year she hopped onto the crew of Abby Lee’s ‘Dance Moms’ in season 6. Elliana has also won umpteen scholarships and awards for both regional and national dance competitions. She is also a cheerleader and is a member of the ‘Adrenaline Crew’. In the reality show ‘Dance Moms’ she won the ‘Mini Solo Award’, for her performance on the song ‘Sing for You.’ Abby was very proud of her, and her performance moved her up the charts in her Mini team. She is presently a member of ‘Elite Dance Academy’ and rehearses at ‘The Dance Movement of Colorado.’ In September 2016, she appeared in a dance video that was choreographed by Elizabeth Goitia for the song ‘Unbreakable.’ SOOOOO excited to announce that every Tuesday night I will give you a sneak peek into many of my favorite dance elements that you will see me execute on Dance Moms. In the words of her mother, Yolanda, “Elliana is a girl who never gives up.”With a never-say-die spirit, she strives to reach her true potential; she is always pushing herself a step further, to attain the difficult. She keeps drilling herself night after night until she can perfectly execute a dance step. She toils to inspire children her age to achieve their dreams. She isn’t envious of her fellow team member or contestants on shows. She always encourages them and wishes the best for them. Her mother defines her character as humble and sensitive. Elliana hates to brag about her talent. In fact, it is surprising that before ‘Dance Moms’ happened, her teachers and classmates at school never knew of her talent and awards. She always hid her achievements as she didn’t ever want her friends to consider her boastful. She is a school going girl, who spends most of her time doing homework in her car. She is a bright student and hardly gets sufficient time to spend with her friends. She has sacrificed her playtime for securing a better future for herself. If she is not on stage performing, she is practicing at the studio. She even eats and sleeps in the car whilst travelling for training. Any moment that she can spare is to share with her family, she loves going on vacations with them. She loves dancing and therefore spends the entire day drilling to become a better dancer. Her favorite dance form is musical theatre as it requires enormous energy and facial expressions, and her dream is to one day move to New York City and be the principal ballerina at the ‘American Ballet Theatre’ alongside Misty Copeland.
