Eliza Jane Taylor-Cotter was born on 24 October 1989 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She has two siblings, a brother and a sister. Her mother is a graphic designer as well as an author while her father was a cafe owner who owned cafes all across Melbourne. Taylor also had a step-father who served as a stand-up comedian. She graduated from Calder High School and is currently studying at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
