Vinny first got famous for his appearance in MTV's ‘Jersey Shore’. Aired between 2009 and 2012, the show drew millions of viewers worldwide and became a pop culture phenomenon. While the show was heavily criticised for its use of the terms "Guido/Guidette", allegations of perpetuating stereotypes, and its portrayal of Italian-Americans, it redefined and reinvented reality television programs. It also made way for two spin-offs, ‘Snooki & Jwoww’ (2012-15) and ‘The Pauly D Project’ (2012).

On November 27, 2017, it was announced that the original cast of Jersey Shore would reunite for a new series titled ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’, which would premiere on MTV on April 5, 2018.

Shyann and Vinny began dating in 2017 prior to the filming of the first season of the show. When the show began airing, Vinny could be seen talking about his relationship with Shyann in his opening scenes. However, as the filming progressed, the couple began to struggle to maintain the relationship. It was not only the long distance that posed a problem; it was also Vinny’s behaviour. Unlike most of the cast who had subdued since the original show, Vinny displayed the same uninhibited attitude. During his time in Miami, he constantly got into arguments with Shyann over the phone. In an episode, Vinny was shown flirting with a stripper and then literally picking her up at a club. He later talked about it with her over the phone. Understandably upset, she asked him whether he would like if guys were picking her up at a club. She further stated that she hoped he understood her perspective.

On the episode that aired on 17 May, Vinny’s behaviour was shown to be further unrestrained. He unabashedly flirted with two bottle-service waitresses and eventually got their phone numbers. On the ride home, he gushed about one of the girls, saying that she was “like his wife” and “me and my girl are going to marry her.”

According to Life & Style, Shyann is an Instagram model. She often posts fashion shots and selfies and had thousands of followers even before she started dating Vinny. At present, she has over 32 thousand followers on the app.

She is quite open about her real-life struggles and implores her fans to be open and honest themselves. Recently, she uploaded two photos of herself to discuss her unintentional weight loss.
