Dylynn McKenzie Jones was passionate about dancing from an early age and started learning it when she joined the Fresh Faces dance group at the age of three. Fresh Faces consisted of five girls from Queen Creek and Chandler, Arizona. The members were Brynn Rumfallo, Jaycee Wilkins, Bostyn Brown, Jenna Valenzuela, and Dylynn Jones who had performed together since they were three-year-olds. They were trained at Club Dance in Mesa, Arizona, and Dance Connection 2, in Chandler, Arizona, for 20 to 25 hours every week.

Career

In 2012, the dance duo ‘DJ's Mix’— Dylynn and Jaycee Wilkins—participated in Disney Channel’s competition show ‘Make Your Mark: Shake It Up Dance Off’ and appeared in the episode ‘Home Alone It Up’. The kids were the youngest contestants. They won the competition and appeared in the TV series ‘Shake It Up’ with the stars Zendaya Coleman and Bella Thorne.

Dylynn is trained in various styles of dance, including jazz, hip-hop, ballet, musical theater, lyrical, acro, and tap. She participated in her first solo competition at the age of seven. When she was 11, she participated with her group Fresh Faces on NBC's reality show ‘America's Got Talent Season 8’ in 2013 and reached till the quarterfinals.

She won The Dance Awards in three consecutive years—in 2013 as Mini Female Best Dancer, and in 2014 and 2015 as Junior Female Best Dancer. She also has several titles to her credit including Junior Female Non-Stop Dancer, Junior Female VIP, Teen Miss Dance, Junior Female Breakout Artist, and Elite Junior Dancer.
