While toddlers are known for their playful nature and acting styles that they often emulate in their own special ways depending on their mood of the day, of course, Dylan and his twin brother, Blake, got a chance to showcase their talent in the American sitcom ‘Full House’ when they were around two years. Created by Jeff Franklin for ‘American Broadcasting Company’, the popular series that aired from September 22, 1987 to May 23, 1995, for eight seasons, saw the twin brothers playing Alex (Dylan) and Nicky (Blake) in its last three seasons. At the tender age of two, the twins mesmerised the audience winning millions of hearts with their superb comic timings, free flow acting and dialogue delivery. Funny and awesome performances of the two left the audience almost split their sides with laughter. However, after such popularity, Dylan and Blake kept away from acting and grew up following usual routine. Dylan attended ‘John Burroughs High School’ in Burbank, California, US, from where he completed his graduation in 2009.
With time he developed love for music. He can play many instruments and has embarked in the entertainment industry as a Foley artist working in creating different everyday sounds effects for movies and other media. His initial projects included the open world third-person shooter video game ‘Sunset Overdrive’ developed by ‘Insomniac Games’ and released in October 2014; the Tegan Shohet directed 2014 released short film ‘Bluffing’; and the 2015 released television movie ‘Point of Honor’. He then landed up working in bigger projects like the 2015 American action film ‘Furious 7’, and horror comedy film ‘Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse’; in 30 episodes of the American fantasy drama TV series ’Game of Thrones’ in 2016; and in 20 episodes of the American historical adventure TV series ‘Black Sails’ in 2016 among others. He was nominated in the 2014 ‘Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards’ in the category of ‘Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series’ for his work in the ninth episode of the fourth season of ’Game of Thrones’ titled ‘The Watchers on the Wall’.
It was announced in 2015 that the Wilhoit brothers would reprise their respective roles of ‘Full House’ in its sequel ‘Fuller House’. Dylan and Blake joined ensemble cast of the series comprising most of the original actors of ‘Full House’, as Alex and Nicky respectively who have become fish taco truck operator after attending college for six years. The series premiered on February 26, 2016. At the time of shooting the series, Dylan posted a photo of his ‘Fuller House’ script with a caption "What?" complimented with an emoji on his Instagram account.
