Dylan O'Sullivan Farrow was born on July 11, 1985 in the USA. She was adopted by actress Mia Farrow, a single mother at the time, when she was only two weeks old. At that time, her mother was in a relationship with Woody Allen, who later co-adopted Dylan and her adoptive brother Moses in December 1991. She is one of the fourteen children of Miss Farrow, who has adopted ten children, including Dylan, and has four biological children. She is the half-sister of twins Matthew and Sascha Previn, as well as Fletcher Farrow Previn, her mother's children from her marriage to André Previn. She also has another three siblings whom Farrow and Previn had adopted: Vietnamese infants Lark Song Previn and Summer "Daisy" Song Previn, and Soon-Yi from Korea. Her mother had adopted Moses Farrow following her divorce from Previn, five years before adopting her. She is the adoptive sister of Farrow's biological son with Woody Allen, Satchel O'Sullivan Farrow, who later became known as Ronan Farrow. Her mother later adopted five more children: Tam Farrow; Kaeli-Shea Farrow (also known as Quincy Maureen Farrow), Frankie-Minh, Isaiah Justus, Gabriel Wilk Farrow (named after the judge who presided over the sexual abuse case, also known as Thaddeus Wilk Farrow). Sadly, three of her adopted siblings, Tam, Lark, and Thaddeus, are now deceased.

Personal Life

Being adopted by renowned actress Mia Farrow at the age of two weeks, Dylan O'Sullivan Farrow has remained in the news since she was an infant. She again made news in 1991 when Woody Allen co-adopted her. However, the one incident that is being covered as extensively recently as when it first happened in 1992, is the alleged sexual abuse that her adoptive father was accused of. It was followed by a vicious court battle, but her mother later did not press the molestation charges to save her from further trauma. Recently, the incident surfaced on the foreground again in February 2014, when she published an open letter in 'New York Times', renewing the sexual allegation claims. In December 2017, in the wake of the 'Me Too' movement, she wrote an op-ed in the 'Los Angeles Times' asking why the movement spared Allen.

Rise to Stardom

On August 4, 1992, a seven-year-old Dylan O'Sullivan Farrow reportedly told her mother Mia Farrow about an incident in the attic involving her father Woody Allen, following which her mother took her to their pediatrician, who reported the sexual assault allegations to the authorities. After being informed of the allegations on August 6, 1992, Woody Allen sued Farrow for the full custody of biological son Satchel, as well as Dylan and Moses, whom he had co-adopted. All these happened after in January that year, Mia Farrow had found out that her then-husband Allen was having an affair with another of her adoptive daughters, Soon-Yi, who was 35 years younger than him. This gave Allen the opportunity to raise a revenge motive in the allegations.

Controversies & Scandals

Interestingly, in his sworn testimony, Dr. John Leventhal, who led the investigations of Yale–New Haven Hospital Child Sexual Abuse Clinic, rubbished the incident as invented story even without visiting Dylan or Farrow once. The report was criticized by presiding judge, Elliott Wilk, who, in his final decision in June 1993, ruled out revenge angle, as well as denied Allen full custody or visitation rights with Dylan stating that his behavior toward her was "grossly inappropriate".

Farrow and Allen's biological son Ronan later revealed that she believed her sister, while her adoptive brother Moses reconciled with Allen, accusing Farrow of physically abusing him and coaching the children on made up stories.
