In the 10th season of the show, Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy returned as permanent judges and Cat Deeley as the presenter. Fik-Shun was the first contestant of the season to give an audition and performed before Lythgoe, Murphy, and guest judge Jesse Tyler Ferguson on 22 March 2013 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, California. He received “Yes” votes from all three judges and proceeded to the Las Vegas Week with other 32 dancers. He continued to perform spectacularly and was eventually selected among the 20 finalists.
In the episode ‘Meet the Top 20,’ that aired on 18 June, Fik-Shun performed a hip-hop routine set to T.I.’s ‘Ball’ with Mariah Spears. In the first week (2 July), he did a contemporary routine set to The Valerie Project’s ‘Elsa’. In the subsequent weeks, he found himself only once in the bottom four. Fik-Shun made one appearance in the following season, in the episode, ‘Top 6 Perform + Elimination’. He returned once more in 2017, in the 14th season of the show, for two episodes, ‘Academy Week: No. 1’ and ‘Academy Week: No. 2’.
Besides ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, he also appeared in the inaugural season of NBC’s ‘World of Dance’, but was eventually eliminated. He has been a guest on ‘AXE Live’ (2013) and ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ (2013).
