Dominique Swain was born on August 12, 1980 in Malibu, California, United States to David Swain, Sr., and Cindy. She has two sisters named Chelsea and Alexis. She also has a stepbrother as well as a stepsister from her father’s previous marriage. She studied at Malibu High School. Her parents are now separated.
Swain has a long list of failed love affairs. She has been involved with Christopher Masterson, Charlie Bambrook, Dean Paraskevopoulous, and Justin Strock at different times in her life. She was also engaged to Andrew Bennett in 2008. However, the couple called off their engagement later.
Dominique Swain first appeared as Jamie Archer and Dolores 'Lolita' Haze in the 1997 movies ‘Face/Off’ and ‘Lolita’ respectively. She then did the films and short films ‘The Smokers’, ‘Happy Campers’, ‘Mean People Suck’ and ‘Tart’. In 2002, the actress had roles in the movies ‘Dead in the Water’ and ‘New Best Friend’. A year later, she did the flick ‘The Job’. She was then cast in the short film ‘The Locrian Mode’ in 2005. The same year, Swain appeared in an episode of ‘JAG’.
