DJ Fresh was born as Daniel Edward Stein on 11 April 1977 in Worthing, United Kingdom. The information regarding his family background, education, parents’ names and love life is not known to the media.
DJ Fresh initially founded a record label named BC Recordings and a website titled ‘Dogs on Acid’ with Bad Company. They released their first track titled "The Nine" in 1998. In 2002, Fresh founded Breakbeat Punk which was later merged with Adam F's Kaos Recordings to finally become Breakbeat Kaos. In the year 2006, DJ Fresh released his debut studio album titled ‘Escape from Planet Monday’. Three years later, he released the track "Heavyweight" on the Digital Soundboy label.
Soon after this, he came up with his second album titled ‘Kryptonite’ containing the singles "Gold Dust" and "Lassitude”. Then on 1 October 2012, the English DJ cum musician released his third studio album titled ‘Nextlevelism’. This album featured several hit tracks including "Louder", "Hot Right Now", "The Power" and "The Feeling".
DJ Fresh then began working on his fourth album. The album’s lead track "Earthquake" was released on 19 August 2013. After this, the album’s second and third singles named "Dibby Dibby Sound" and "Make U Bounce" respectively were released. Then, the fourth single titled
"Flashlight” featuring Ellie Goulding came out. The album’s fifth single titled "Gravity" was then released on 8 February 2015. This song, featuring Ella Eyre, became a huge success. After this, a few more singles from the album were released.
Till date, DJ Fresh has also released four compilation albums namely 'Breakbeat Kaos', 'Jungle Sound: The Bassline Strikes Back', 'Bass Invaderz' and 'Jungle Sound: Gold' as well as two EPs namely 'Cactus Funk '02' and 'Future Jungle'. He has released a number of non-album singles as well; these include: "Morning Glory", "Twister", "All That Jazz", "Blow", "Balloons", "Off World" and "Supernature".
