Diego Velazquez (TV Actor)

Velazquez had his first role at the age of seven in the television movie ‘Extraordinary Measures’ as Patrick Crowleyopposite Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell. But his actual first time on camera was in ‘The City of Your Final Destination’ in which he played one of the extras. Another prominent role in his acting roster is the guest role of Filho/ Son in the TV show ‘Grimm.’ But he is best known for playing the role of Billy Thunderman in the Nickelodeon series ‘The Thundermans’ which is airing since 2013. Playing Billy Thunderman has given him a large fan base among kids. The show revolves around a superhero family which moves to Hiddenville to keep their identities a secret and live a normal life. Velazquez plays the youngest child, Billy Thunderman who is a superspeed superstar! Before ‘The Thundermans’, he has also appeared in ‘Leverage’ as Nathan Ford Young. His other acting projects include ‘Blackstar Warrior’, ‘More Porkchop’, ‘The Haunted Hathaways’ and ‘Ho Ho Holiday Special.’ In 2014, Nickelodeon released a record called, ‘The Fakest Song Ever’ with Velazquez, Jack Griffo, Cameron Ocasio, Curtis Harris and Benjamin Flores Jr. Velazquez was also nominated for a Chambie Award in 2014 for Best Actor in a Television Series.

Diego Velazquez is nothing short of a role model for young kids out there. From a very young age he has managed both his school and career whereas a lot of adult stars struggle to maintain a balance. More importantly, the kind of character he is playing in ‘The Thundermans’ is so much fun! Which kid would not want to be a superspeed superstar?! And just because it’s a kid’s show, that does not mean there is no substantial content in it. Same goes for Velazquez’s acting chops because let’s not forget that he worked opposite none other than Harrison Ford and Keri Russell when he was just seven years old!

While there are several young actors around who have gained much fame in a short span of time, Diego Velazquez is a class apart as he also has an active life away from the camera. As a school student he strives to balance his growing career with his studies, and also takes part in co-curricular activities. He plans to study Special FX make up in future.
