Denzel Harris

Denzel Harris was born on July 20, 1995 in the Bronx, New York, United States. His mother is a nurse and his father works in the construction industry. He began dancing as a kid, but never took any formal training. He moved to Atlanta from New York when he was 13. There, he spent a lot of time on his computer, watching dance videos. He soon realized that he should be doing something involving dance and the computer. He loved the dance styles of Dragon House, Les Twins, Chris Brown, and South Dallas Swag. As a popular dancer today, he often imbibes elements from the dance styles of his idols to create his own unique moves.

Denzel Harris has always dreamt of a career in dancing and entertainment. He started posting his dance videos on Facebook when he was in the tenth grade. While he got good reviews, he didn’t get satisfactory numbers of likes and hits. So he started posting the videos on YouTube. Here too, he did not get a good response. When Vine came up, he posted his first video on Vine, which he had shot at a gas station, dancing to a Texas song. Within just 20 minutes, the video started getting a good number of re-Vines. By the next day, it had become viral!

Denzel started his YouTube channel SheLovesMeechie on October 1, 2015. The first video he posted on YouTube was a dance video, which he performed to the Young Thug song ‘Best Friend’. The video of him dancing to Future’s song ‘Wicked’ became viral and earned over 4 million views on YouTube. His other videos which went viral include ‘Xo Tour Life - Lil Uzi’ with over 7.5 million views; ‘Dae Dae - Woke Up’ with over 12 million views; ‘B.O.B - Tis the season’ with over 1.4 million views; and ‘Skateboard P – MadeinTyo’ with over 5.2 million views. Over the years, he has garnered an impressive number of 413k subscribers—and still counting—and over 90 million views as of September 2018.

He not only posted his dance videos on his YouTube channel but also on other social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram. He has over 178k fans on his Twitter account and more than 734k on his Instagram account.

Denzel frequently collaborates with fellow internet personality Toosi, who is another excellent dancer. They are together known for their innovations on a dance form called the ‘Hit Dem Folks’, which originated in Columbus, Georgia. Denzel has had the opportunity to perform with the famous rapper Yo Gotti and hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd. The professional football player Odell Beckham Jr is a fan and friend of Denzel.
