Dennis Darrell Roady was born on June 6, 1983 in Germany. While his father David Earl Roady is an American, his mother Nurdane “Nur” is Turkish. His paternal grandparents were Darrell/Darold Roady and Mary Violet Stumbaugh, and his maternal grandparents were Hüseyin Açıkel and Zeycan Kaymakçı.
Dennis eventually came to stay in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a college degree from the Franklin University. His first son, Alexander, who was born in November 2014, has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Since then, life has been tough for Dennis and his family.
Dennis Roady has a softer side as well. He made a 22-minute video about homelessness. He decided to go homeless in his hometown for at least seven days, with the aim of creating awareness about the challenges and struggles that the homeless people face. In the process he slept under a bridge, was robbed at night, and also saw his new friends shoot heroin. The video received an award and has gained over a million views so far.
Dennis Roady served in the US Army from 2002 to 2009, in different positions. He started as a Force Protection Security Officer and was promoted to Training and Operations Manager and then to Emergency Operations Manager. In 2009, he left the Army for a civil job at Fine Homes & Luxury Lifestyles Magazine and Internet Marketing. He also worked at WKDS as a Marketing and Operations Director. He has worked in a UPS factory, a distributor of UPS manufacturers, as well.
Alongside his job, he started making videos and uploading them on YouTube. Soon it became his passion, and he started the ‘Dennis Roady Deeds’ channel on May 6, 2012. After his career as a YouTuber picked up, and his self-titled channel earned over 1 million subscribers, he left his regular job to be a full-time YouTuber. Next, he launched the YouTube channel ‘howtoPRANKitup’ on August 27, 2013 after working with comedian Roman Atwood on his YouTube prank channel, ‘RomanAtwood.’ On December 11, 2013, he started his third channel ‘Dennis RoadyVlogs.’
As Dennis gained popularity on YouTube, he started associating with famous YouTubers like Vitaly Zdorovetskiy and Roman Atwood. His first video—Cops Get Owned!!! - Epic Pee Prank—had generated more than 23 million views as of June 2017. Some of his other popular uploads are ‘Sister Pranks Brother,’ ‘10 Prank Toy Reviews,’ and ‘Sports Car Fire Prank.’ He also started making money through online advertisements, and as of December 2016, his net worth was approximately $800,000.
Today, Dennis Roady is also a reality star, writer, and producer who appeared in ‘Fight of the Living Dead,’ a YouTube reality series, where ten YouTubers competed with each other to survive for 72 hours. In 2016, he became significantly popular with the feature film ‘Natural Born Pranksters.’ Going from YouTube to a full-fledged film was a huge change in terms of scale, budget, and scope. He had to adjust to a lot of things—like he was used to shooting quick shots, while the feature film taught him to patiently shoot long shots. He had to manage 30 crewmembers out on the streets at the same time, with a number of cameras at different places. These were all new things that he had never done before.
