Deetranada

Born Diamond Barmer to parents, Regina Bells, and Pastor Henry Parks, Deetranada is the younger sister of famous hip hop dancer, PJ. Deetranada’s family notice her talent when she was just a kid. In their full capacity, the family encouraged her to hone the lyricist and singer within her.

Great talent is discovered in the most unexpected places, and Deetranada’s (aka Dee) singing talent got noticed at a 7th grade level talent show. Her hip-hop dancer brother, Platinum J knew that his little sister was gifted with a special talent. Realizing that her talent needed the right exposure, PJ took special interest in Deetranada’s career. He immediately took her under his wings and started managing and promoting her YouTube Channel, booked her studio time and grew her social media presence to ensure she got noticed by the big labels. And that eventually did happen! With over 45k Instagram followers, Deetranada had to be spotted.

Undoubtedly, Deetranada had all the potential to make it big in the world of music & entertainment but things stirred in the right direction, when RB producer Jermaine Dupri, known to have an ear for unheard talent, spotted her. While Deetranada was relentlessly sharpening her singing skills, Jermaine immediately identified his next big star. Jermaine cast Deetranada in his reality rap show “The Rap Game” and success began to unfold.

Unaffected by the initial stage struggles, this Baltimore native rap star has worked her way to stardom. From a YouTube freestyle rapper at just 13 to starring in Season 3 of The Rap Game, Deetranada’s professional transformation is quite evident. She is the perfect teenage role model for many who face bullying and criticism. Unlike other teenagers, Dee decided to channel all the jibes and critique into the lyrics of her songs that finally landed her the opportunity on The Rap Game, Season 3.

But besides all the fame and spotlight, Deetranada has been known to show work and professional ethics which has been quite uncharacteristic of many of her contemporaries of the same age. Influenced by Lauryn Hill and Joey Badass, this aspiring rap artist sends out a strong message in every song. Her all-time favourite rappers include Tupac, Fabolous and Jadakiss.
