David Brown joined the band ‘You and What Army’ in 2007. The following year, he, along with his band mates, performed extensively in clubs, bars, and other small venues. Then in 2009, his band started working on their first EP titled ‘Soundtrack to the Apocalypse’. This EP was mixed, mastered, and produced by Brown and came out on 5 June 2009. After this, ‘You and What Army’ released their second EP titled ‘The End of the Beginning’ on 26 March 2010. The following year, they played smaller headline shows and soon returned to perform at various festivals including Sonisphere Festival, Download Festival, and Main Stage Osfest.

In 2012, the band released their self-titled EP ‘You and What Army’. Soon after, they stopped performing live and started to work on their first studio album which was initially slated to be released in the year 2013. However, in July 2014, the band announced on Facebook that they have cancelled the release of their debut album.
