Danielle Brisebois started her career as a child actress back in 1976 with a role in the movie ‘The Premonition’; she was just seven years old at that time. A year later, she appeared on the original Broadway Musical ‘Annie’ as ‘Molly’, the youngest of the orphans. In the late 1970s she appeared on two different shows, ‘All in the Family’ and its spin-off ‘Archie Bunker's Place’ as ‘Stephanie Mills’, which became the biggest work in her career as an actress so far. She appeared in a total of 24 episodes in the show ‘All in the Family’ between 1978 and 1979.

Acting Career

After the conclusion of the show, she again appeared as the same character in its spin-off ‘Archie Bunker's Place’. This show spanned four years and Danielle played the role of ‘Stephanie Mills’ in 81 episodes. Between 1981 and 1984, Danielle was rewarded for her excellent work on the show with multiple nominations for ‘Best Young Actress in a Television Series’ awards at the Young Artist Awards and was also nominated for a Golden Globe as ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for TV’ in 1982.

While working in ‘Archie Bunker's Place’, she appeared in a television movie titled ‘Mom, the Wolfman and Me’ as ‘Jenny Bergman’ in 1980. Her work was praised by the critics. She won the ‘Best Young Actress in a TV Special’ award at the 1981 Young Artist Awards. After her successful stints in these shows, she appeared in many episodes of ‘Battle of the Network Stars’ as well as ‘Circus of the Stars’ and appeared as ‘Mary-Frances Sumner’ in the American prime time television soap opera ‘Knots Landing’.

She has also appeared in guest roles in various television shows including ‘Mr. Belvedere’, ‘Down and Out in Beverly Hills’, ‘Murder, She Wrote’, ‘Tales from the Darkside’, and ‘Days of Our Lives’ in 1987. Ten years later she made a comeback only to appear as a voice artist in ‘Aaahh!!! Real Monsters’ and ‘Stories from My Childhood’.

Danielle Brisebois has a successful musical career. She has written, composed, produced as well as has sung many singles. She started her musical career as a recording artist in 1992 as a background vocalist in rock singer Gregg Alexander’s album ‘Intoxifornication’. Her first solo was co-written and co-produced by herself and Gregg Alexander in 1994; it was titled ‘Arrive All Over You’. Later she joined Alexander’s ‘New Radicals’ group and became a part of their super-hit platinum album ‘Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too’ which featured the hit single ‘You Get What You Give’.

She went on to write many super hit singles for Natasha Bedingfield including ‘Unwritten’ and ‘Pocketful of Sunshine’, and also co-wrote and co-produced Donna Summer’s ‘Stamp Your Feet’. ‘Pocket Full of Sunshine’ won her two BMI Awards, both in the US and UK and also other awards.
