Daniela Nieves was born on July 4, 1997 in Venezuela, but moved to the United States when she was only four months old. She is the younger of two children of her parents and has an older brother. She completed her school graduation from Buffalo Gap High School in Swoope, Virginia.
She is very close to her family and often posts pictures with her parents and her brother on her social media sites. She shared a picture with her brother on her Instagram after he graduated from Florida International University in December 2017. Nieves, who has a lean and delicate body type, is reportedly often mistaken as underage by most people whom she meets. She took to Twitter in August 2015 to clarify that she was actually 18 years old at the time, even though her "tiny" stature and "baby face" made her look like she was 14.
She is a fan of fantasy books and loves to dance, play games, and travel with family and friends. McCaul Lombardi is her favorite actor, while Emma Roberts is her favorite actress. She is known for her sense of humor and is usually the funniest person on the set of her shows. She is good friends with her co-stars from 'Every Witch Way', Paola Andino, Denisea Wilson and Tyler Alvarez, who portray the roles of Emma, Katie and Diego respectively.
Daniela Nieves began her acting career in 2006, at the age of nine, by appearing in one episode of the hit Colombian telenovela series 'La viuda de Blanco', playing the role of Patricia Giraldo. In 2008, she bagged the recurring role of Adriana Montiel in the Spanish-language action based TV series 'El Rostro de Analía' and went on to portray the role in 109 episodes throughout the next couple years.
In 2014, she was cast in the main role of Andrea 'Andi' Cruz on the Nickelodeon teen sitcom 'Every Witch Way'. She has appeared on almost all episodes of the show till it ended in 2015, and announced her own spin-off series 'WITS Academy', also on Nickelodeon, in July that year. She played the lead in the series, and was only one of three cast members who returned as main casts from the original series. On March 24, 2016, she announced that her TV series 'WITS Academy' would not be renewed for a second season. However, she has already bagged a role in the web series 'Five Points', in which she plays one of the recurring characters, Ananda.
