Daniela Lavender was born on 14 December 1974 in Bahia, Brazil. She attended Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and obtained a journalism degree from there. She then studied drama at the Dirceu de Mattos School. Coming to her love life, the actress has been married to English veteran star Ben Kingsley since 3 September 2007.
Daniela Lavender has appeared in a number of stage plays till date. She toured with the British Shakespeare Company and appeared in its production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in 2009. Two years later, she made her debut at London's Tabard Theatre, appearing in ‘A Woman Alone’. Besides these, Lavender has also acted in the plays 'Viva Maria', 'The Beelzebub Sonata', 'Steel Magnolias', 'Sexual Perversity In Chicago', 'Viva O Povo Brasileiro' and 'Nick Cave'.
Daniela Lavender made her debut on television with the 2000 drama ‘Longitude’. She then appeared in the TV series ‘Down to Earth’ and ‘Casualty’. Then in 2002, she had a role in Mark Mylod’s comedy film ‘Ali G Indahouse’. The same year, the actress was cast in the television comedy/drama series ‘Manchild’ that ran on BBC Two.
She next appeared in the independent comedy-drama ‘Emotional Backgammon’ in 2003. This feature-length film directed by Herbert is a story about couples strategizing to fix relationships, with unexpected results. The film stars Lavender along with Jacqueline de Peza and Wil Johnson. Also in 2003, Daniela Lavender joined the cast of the BBC One’s soap opera ‘EastEnders’. Created by Tony Holland and Julia Smith, the show follows the stories of the local inhabitants living in the fictional town of Walford and their families as they go about their everyday lives.
In the year 2009, the Brazilian actress appeared in the American drama flick ‘Precious: Base on Nol by Saf’ (or simply Precious). After this, she was cast in the Canadian-American miniseries ‘Tut’ in 2015.
