Damon Blake

Damon was born on December 25, 1999 in the state of Minnesota in the United States of America. He has two older siblings, a brother and a sister. He also has a nephew and a niece. He is currently attending high school and has a dog named Gunner. “Damon” is not his real name; it is a pseudonym he uses online. After coming out, he had first adopted the name ‘Austin Kyle Blake’, but later he changed it to Damon Blake. He is a huge fan of British radio show hosts and fellow YouTubers Daniel Howell and Phil Lester. Damon loves to play tennis.

Like any other normal kid attending school, Damon’s life was mostly uneventful before fame found him. He, Danny, and Justin set up the ‘blake boys’ YouTube Channel on June 25, 2014, which has till now garnered over 1.24 million views and 66K subscribers. His YouTube channel with Justin, ‘Justin and Damon’, has 56K subscribers. His personal channel has 22K subscribers, although he doesn’t post there much. His YouNow account has 16.8K fans. His Twitter and Instagram accounts have 12.7K and 153K followers respectively. The content the Blake boys produce are mainly challenges, skits, Q&As, and monologues to the camera where they talk about their experiences as a transgender. As their fans will attest, their earnest discussions about what they face every day, and how they overcome them, have helped out so many teenagers and pre-teens to come to terms with their own bodies.

While Danny is confident and articulate, and Justin is playful and a risk-taker, there is a mellow earthiness to Damon that his fans find incredibly charming. He is soft-spoken, but is always ready to defend his point. He is so inseparable from the other two, that sometimes their fans feel that Justin and Danny’s parents gave birth to triplets, and not twins.
