Daan Creyghton was born on September 21, 2002, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His mother’s name is Iris. He has four siblings: three older sisters, Lara, Roos, and Floor and one younger brother, Tom. When he was eight years old, he and his family relocated to Los Angeles, California, but moved back to Amsterdam in 2014. He has said that he loved living in Los Angeles. He currently attends International School of Amsterdam. Besides studying, he also loves playing basketball and shopping for sneakers and outfits.

When Daan Creyghton was six years old, one of his sisters landed a photo shoot with a casting agent and after seeing him, they became interested in him as well. They invited him to take some photos with them. About a week after that, they got back to him and informed him that he has been selected to be represented by the agency. He subsequently began giving auditions. He gained moderate fame in Europe by appearing in several commercial campaigns. While the family was in California, Creyghton decided to take some acting classes. It turned out to be the right decision as he developed a deep interest in the craft.

Creyghton made his acting debut by portraying Sal Hunter, an extremely intelligent and outgoing person, in Nickelodeon's ‘Hunter Street,’ a Dutch comedy adventure television series about a group of five foster children trying to find out the whereabouts of their missing foster parents. Created by Reint Schölvinck and Melle Runderkamp, the show premiered on March 11, 2017, to mostly positive reviews.

When the show started, Sal had already established himself as the genius of the group, having coded multiple apps. He uses his experience with source code to browse the internet. Because of his intellect, Sal has been skipping grades all through his academic life.

Besides Creyghton, the show also stars Stony Blyden as Max Hunter, MaeMae Renfrow as Tess Hunter, Kyra Smith as Anika Hunter, Thomas Jansen as Daniel Hunter. Wilson Radjou-Pujalte and Kate Bensdorp joined the cast in the second season as Jake Hunter and Evie Hunter, respectively.
