CurlyHeadJJ was born on May 23, 2002, in San Juan, the capital city of Puerto Rico. He was raised by his parents and had a pretty normal childhood. Before becoming popular on social media, CurlyHeadJJ used to spend a lot of time playing his favorite sport, basketball.

He came to know about the video social network app musical.ly when he was still very young. He then began exploring the app and simply fell in love with it as it provided him an opportunity to explore and express himself.
