Cordelia Hill was only 13 years old, and a student in Grade 8th at the Westholme School in Blackburn, when her life took a significant turn after she played Lyanna Stark in the world-famous fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’. Her family home is located in Salmesbury, near Preston, where she lives with her parents. Her mother, Katy Hill, was pleasantly surprised to see the incessant clicking of photographers and how her teen daughter was being treated like a huge superstar when the family arrived at a hotel in Belfast for a shooting. During the course of filming, Cordelia was given a private trailer with her name, and she also had an understudy. She is an expert horse rider and an accomplished show-jumper, which has helped her immensely in playing the designated role. She prefers to lead a low-key life, away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

Cordelia Hill was transformed from a girl-next-door into an international celebrity overnight when she was cast as Lyanna Stark in the show. The teenager had been guided to participate in the audition by Lucia Victoria, her agent, and as luck would have it, she enthralled the panel of judges with her natural acting skills and effortless confidence. Nina Gold, the BAFTA-winning casting director, was impressed by her first audition and selected her without any further ado, even though Cordelia had missed the follow-up screen test as she was holidaying with her family then.

Since her childhood, Cordelia Hill had harbored hopes of becoming a famous actress where she would be entitled to ride a horse, and fortunately for her, it did come true! She debuted on the television screen by riding into the ancestral castle of Winterfell, on a white stallion. The young celebrity is very down-to-earth by nature and tries to keep her life as normal as possible in spite of the inevitable superstar treatment she receives—and that includes chauffeured limousines and being chased by the paparazzi! According to Cordelia, she has learnt a lot about professional acting from Peter Dinklage, an American actor who portrays the crucial role of Tyron Lannister aka Halfman in the series. She has been highly praised by veteran actors and directors for her flawless acting. Cordelia admits that her social life has changed drastically after she has landed the part and that she has millions of followers now on both Instagram and Facebook. She has also starred in the SO6E10 episode of the ‘Game of Thrones’ show, titled ‘The Winds of Winter.’
