Cooke Maroney

Cooke Maroney is originally from Middlebury, Vermont, where he grew up and attended high school. He later moved to New York after enrolling into New York University to study art history. He is a fan of the 'Taken' film series; so much so that he had gone to see 'Taken 3' on opening day in an entirely empty theater.

Before Cooke Maroney suddenly rose to fame after being linked to celebrated actress Jennifer Lawrence, he could already be seen at "high-end art openings" around New York. As early as October 28, 2011, he was photographed attending a free-spirited end-of-summer party hosted by The Hole gallery’s creative director Fabiola Beracasa at her residence in Montauk. He was one of the guests at the event which was also attended by several socialites, models, artists and art connoisseurs including Jen Brill, Lesley Schulhof, May Andersen, Dan Colen, Craig McDean, Lucien Smith and Jules de Balincourt. Maroney, who worked at the Gagosian gallery for some time before becoming the director at the Gladstone Gallery in the Upper East Side neighborhood in New York City, is also well-known in the Entertainment industry thanks to the high profile artists he represents.

After the news of his relationship with Lawrence spread on the internet in June 2018, some even dug up his possible acquaintance with famous heiress and socialite Paris Hilton, as a private Instagram account linked to his name was revealed to follow her, as well as several important personalities in the art and fashion scene including US Vogue editor Anna Wintour's daughter Bee Shaffer and journalist and Hollywood insider Derek Blasberg. He has also been spotted at parties with Hilton’s ex Stavros Niarchos and actor-designer Waris Ahluwalia.

In June 2018, 'Page Six' revealed exclusive information that Cooke Maroney was secretly dating renowned Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence. The news outlet also reported that the two were first introduced to one another by Lawrence's lifelong best friend Laura Simpson. They had been together for a few weeks already, and close sources confirmed that they have been spotted together at various locations around New York "several times" in the last few weeks. While they were cautious not to be seen together by the paparazzi, 'People' reported a day later that a source confirmed to have spotted them showing public display of affection.

'The Daily Mail' also acquired pictures of them arm-in-arm enjoying a stroll around New York City, during which she appeared all smiles by his side. They previously had an Italian dinner at Sant Ambroeus in Soho and later retired for the night at his luxury apartment. Sources who spotted the couple together claimed that the actress has never looked so happy with any of her previous boyfriends. While many are considering this public outing an attempt to make their relationship official, neither of Maroney or Lawrence's representatives has confirmed the affair yet.

The news came a few days after Lawrence had reunited with her ex-boyfriend, Hollywood director Darren Aronofsky, to present him with an award at BAM Gala for her movie 'Mother!' which he directed. She had been in a year-long relationship with Aronofsky since September 2016, and had separated from him seven months earlier in November 2017. The two had a huge 22 years age gap and were reportedly "at different places in their lives". She was previously romantically linked with her 'X-Men' franchise co-star Nicholas Hoult and Coldplay rocker and front-man Chris Martin. Lawrence, who had confirmed back in February this year that there was still love left between her and Aronofsky, had also added that she is on good terms with all of her exes.
