Connor was born Connor Grant Finnerty, on March 28, 2003, to Mike and Carol Finnerty, in Roseville, California, US. He grew up with his older brother, Ryan, and an older sister, Haylee. Connor moved to Los Angeles in 2015, to pursue his dance career.
Connor has been trained in many different dance forms, including ballet, lyrical, and jazz. Michael Jackson's music has always inspired him. Connor looks up to Justin Timberlake as his idol. As a child, Connor played sports such as baseball, soccer, and basketball. He has always been a supporter of 'LA Lakers' and 'Denver Broncos.'
Connor loves spending quality time with his family and friends. He owns a huge collection of shoes. He wishes to add a pair of 'Nike Air Mags' to the collection. Connor is a gadget freak, too. He owns three dogs: a Chihuahua named Pebbles, a Pomeranian–Chihuahua mix called Bella, and a Pomeranian named Emmy. Connor had a crush on actor Emma Ross when he was younger.
Connor began training in dance at the age of 11. Eventually, he began competing in various national-level solo and group dance competitions. He specialized in the hip-hop and technical categories. Soon, Connor joined 'The Rage Entertainment Complex,' a premier dance studio in Granada Hills. He later joined the 'KAST Academy of the Arts' in Sacramento and bagged a national title for a hip-hop duet with 'The Rage Boyz Crew.'
The turning point of Connor’s career was when he moved to Los Angeles in 2015. Connor stole the limelight after appearing on Matt Steffanina's show 'Dance-Off Juniors.' His skills were noticed, and this helped him in establishing himself as a professional dancer. Simultaneously, Connor ventured into acting and modeling, too. He started receiving several modeling offers and then worked in a few commercials and music videos alongside celebrities such as Meghan Trainor, Derek Hough, and Zac Efron. Connor also performed in a live commercial for 'The Greatest Showman.' The commercial was aired on 'FOX.' He was also part of a commercial for the footwear and sports-apparel brand 'Skechers.'
In 2016, Connor appeared in a brief role in the animated short drama 'Framed: The Adventures of Zion Man.' The following year, Connor appeared in the music video 'I Believe in You,' which featured him as the teenage version of ‘Derek Hough,’ the lead character. This has been Connor’s most memorable work to date, as working with a person as multifaceted as Derek Hough was a huge learning experience for him. He is currently a member of two premier dance troops, namely, the 'Millennium Crew & Company' and 'ImmaBEAST.'
Connor is a popular social-media personality, too, and owns a self-titled 'YouTube' channel. Launched in 2015, the channel is primarily a vlog space where he also posts his choreography routine on hit tracks. Connor calls his vlog series 'Connorville.' Some of the most popular dance videos on the channel are ‘Connor dancing with Jayden Bartels (right) and Jordan (left) at The Basement on July 2,' 'Connor and Jayden Bartels taking Guy Amir’s class at ALDC in LA,' and 'Connor at ALDC dancing with Jayden Bartel’s.' The channel now has over 59 thousand subscribers. He is also active on 'Instagram,' where his posts have earned over 444 thousand followers.
