Moore was always interested in performing arts and would be seen participating in her family church’s choir as also in other performing programs. While studying in High school she also toured across Chicago with a children’s musical theatre group. Soon after completing graduation from Illinois Wesleyan University School of Theatre Arts, she re-located to Los Angeles. Her first appearance as a pro happened on-stage with a production of ‘Young Abe: the Abraham Lincoln Boyhood Outdoor Musical Drama’ in Evansville, Indiana. Later, she also appeared in stage productions of ‘Big River’, ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Annie’.

Her television debut happened in the mid 1990’s that saw her initially featuring in single episodes of many TV series like ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ (1996) and ‘The Burning Zone’ (1997) among others. She also made her debut in films playing bit role in the 1997 action Sci-Fi film ‘The Sore Losers’.

The first series that marked her presence in multiple episodes was the American sitcom ‘Unhappily Ever After’ (1998). She landed up with her first main role of Amy Sweeny in the American drama series ‘Hyperion Bay’ (1998-1999).

Although for the next few years she continued to perform in several television series, her breakthrough came with the American comedy sketch TV series ‘MADtv’ where she performed from 2002 to 2003 in a total of 25 episodes. Her impersonation of celebrities like Sharon Stone, Brittany Murphy, Shannon Elizabeth, Christina Aguilera and Trista Rehn in the series earned her huge applaud as a comedian.

Moore left ‘MADtv’ to play the character of Laurie Forman replacing Lisa Robin Kelly in the American television period sitcom ‘That '70s Show’ and featured in six of its episodes from 2003-2004. In 2005, she played main roles in the TV series ‘The Bad Girl's Guide’ and ‘Hot Properties’. She essayed the main role of Candy Sullivan in first and second season of the TV series ‘Hawthrone’ (2009-2011) and made appearance as special guest in its third season, featuring in a total of 20 episodes.
