Chandler Parsons was born on 25th October 1988, in Casselberry, Florida, US. He was raised with his three older brothers. He attended Lake Howell High School in Winter Park, Florida, where he started playing basketball. With his help, the Lake Howell Silverhawks high school basketball team could advance to the Florida Class 5A state championship’s final four, three times. They eventually won it during Parson’s senior year in 2007.
Coming to his love life, he once used to date model Kendall Jenner. In 2017, he started dating Bella Thorne.
Chandler Parsons’ college career began after he received an athletic scholarship from the University of Florida, where he played for the Florida Gator’s men’s basketball team. He played from 2007 to 2011 under Coach Billy Donovan. He praised Donovan and said that playing under him gave him an advantage over other players. He had an average of 8.1 points per game, and 4.0 rebounds per game. He averaged 12.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game during the third season. The Gators made it to the NCAA Tournament though they lost in the first round.
His performance during the 2010-11 season can be considered the best during his college career. He was also named the 2011 SEC Player of the Year, making him the first Florida Gator to have won that honor. He averaged 11.3 points with 7.8 rebounds in 34.1 minutes per game. The Gators again made it to the NCAA tournament but were eventually defeated by the Butler Bulldog’s Men’s basketball team.
Parsons’ professional career began after he was selected as the 38th overall pick by the Houston Rockets during the 2011 NBA draft. In September he also signed a short term deal with Cholet Basket of France though he soon parted ways with them and signed with Houston Rockets in December. After the 2011-12 season, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team.
The best performance in Chandler Parsons’ career so far was seen on March 3, 2013, wherein he recorded 32 points with 3 rebounds and 3 assists in a match against the Dallas Mavericks. During the final game of the 2012-13 season, Parsons made a three pointer at the buzzer, which helped to tie the game against the Los Angeles Lakers. However, Houston was beaten 99-95 during the overtime.
Parsons became a restricted free agent after the 2013-14 season. Shortly after, he signed with the Dallas Mavericks in July 2014. He made his debut for the team in October 2014, where within 34 minutes of action, he managed to record 5 points on 2-of-10 shooting with 4 rebounds as well as steals. However, his team lost 101-100.
