Casey Boonstra was born on May 29, 1994 in Cronulla Beach, New South Wales, Australia. She grew up in an all-girls family and has a sister named Abbey. She started training in gymnastics and acrobatics when she was only six years old. Despite academic pressure, she trained for over 20 hours each week till the age of 15. She initially began participating in state and national level competition and eventually went on to represent Australia at the World Age Games in Portugal.
She quit gymnastics at the age of 15 to experience life as a "normal teenager", often "hanging out with friends, trying new sports and partying". In 2011, after graduating from school, she enrolled into a Skin Sciences and Beauty Therapy course at Ella Baché College of Skin and Beauty Therapy in North Sydney, where she was the highest academic achiever of her class. While her degree allowed her to work as a beauty therapist, she went back to Sutherland College at TAFE NSW the following year to earn a certificate in Small Business Management. She is currently single, but previously dated Mitch Dean from the reality TV show 'The Shire'.
While she handles her modeling assignments without effort, she can sometimes be clumsy when it comes to handling herself on exotic locations. During her travels, she has several times experienced embarrassing moments like stepping on a sea urchin, slipping and getting knocked out, sitting on a baby cactus, and losing new phones in the ocean. However, she thinks that she can beat anyone at beer pong.
After earning a degree in Skin Sciences and Beauty Therapy, Casey Boonstra began working as a beauty therapist, while at the same time participating in modeling competitions in Australia and internationally. In 2012, she won the 'Miss Indy Australia' modeling competition, which allowed her to represent Australia at the IndyCar Series in Long Beach, California in 2013 under Procon Leisure. She also won the 'Miss V8 Supercars' from Procon Leisure in 2013. However, she achieved a breakthrough in 2015 when she went past over 1500 aspiring and professional models from Australia and New Zealand to win the 'MAXIM Australian Swimwear Model of the Year' title. The win opened up new avenues for her to grow as a model and also earned her recognition in the modeling industry and on social media.
Casey Boonstra became the cover girl for the 'MAXIM Machines' special edition, which released before Christmas 2015. She went on to grace the cover of 'MAXIM Australia' in March 2016, which also featured an interview inside. She then competed with 100 girls from around the world in the 'Miss Tropic Beauty' competition in Las Vegas and was declared the runner-up. The same year, she was placed 7th among 90 girls worldwide in the 'Swimsuit USA' competition in Punta Cana. She accompanied 'MAXIM' to Seoul, South Korea for the 'Asia Model Awards' where she was named the 'MAXIM World Rising Star' and the 'Australian Model Star'.
During her time with 'MAXIM', she attended events like the 'MAXIM HOT 100' and also served as a judge on 'MAXIM Australian Swimwear Model of the Year' competitions. In the late 2017, she participated in the 'Swimsuit USA International Model Search' event in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, which is one of the largest and fastest-growing model search competition that attracts more than 20,000 young women in the preliminary stage. She bagged the second runner-up spot in the final and landed a job in the USA, following which she relocated to Los Angeles, California in August 2018. By then, she had travelled across 13 different countries, including America, Mexico, Croatia, and Indonesia, and had worked on diverse modeling assignments.
