Cameron Morrell Douglas was born on December 13, 1978 in Santa Barbara, California, USA, to actor Michael Douglas and Diandra Luker. His parents later divorced. He is the grandson of actress Diana Dill and actor Kirk Douglas. He has two half-siblings, namely Carys and Dylan, through his father’s marriage with actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Coming to Douglas’ love life, he was romantically linked with Jen Gatien at one point of his life. He is currently in a relationship with Brazilian yoga-instructor Viviane Thibes who is pregnant with his child. The American actor likes to spend time with his loved ones. He is also known for his association with organizations that work for children’s rights.
Cameron Douglas made his acting debut in the year 1997, appearing in Jackie Chan's ‘Mr. Nice Guy’. He then appeared in the 2003 flick ‘It Runs in the Family’. After this, he was cast as Adam in the movie ‘Adam & Eve’. Then in 2008, Douglas did the movie ‘Loaded’. A year later, he portrayed the role of DJ Mojo in the short film ‘The Perfect Beat’.
In 1999, Cameron Douglas was arrested in Manhattan on the charge of possessing a controlled substance. However, this charge was dropped later on. Then in 2007, he was again charged for being in possession of a controlled substance. Two years later, he was arrested by the Drug Enforcement Administration as he was found possessing 0.5 pounds of methamphetamine.
On January 27, 2010, the actor pleaded guilty to heroin possession as well as to conspiracy to distribute drugs after which he was sentenced for five years in jail. A year later, he was found possessing drugs in prison. As a result of this, his sentence was extended to an additional 4.5 years. In 2013, Douglas was again caught with drugs while in prison. On August 1, 2016, he was released from jail and was transferred to a halfway house.
