Caitlyn Price

Caitlyn Price was born as Caitlyn Christian Amari Price on April 1, 2009 to Audrey and Daphne Watson. She has two siblings, a sister Cameron, and a brother Jalen Watson. Her father, Audrey, works as a disciplinarian at the Bogalusa High School. It was due to the efforts of her mother that Cece, as Caitlyn is fondly known as, took to the social media. Interestingly, she first started out on Vine during the 2012 US elections. At barely 3 years of age, she was first spotted delightfully cheering for President Obama in a ‘Hope’ shirt bearing his image. After doing a significant number of 6-seconds Vine videos, Daphne felt that her daughter’s charisma and her own video making skills could be further enhanced on Instagram which allowed for longer, 15-seconds videos. Cece has been in ‘work mode’ ever since she started making videos in 2012 at 3 years of age. The family even shifted to LA to give her a greater opportunity. Any talk of popular social media sensations would be incomplete without the mention of the hilarious little girl, Caitlyn Price. She is a super-talented internet sensation who has the likes of Floyd Mayweather, the renowned boxer, in her fan list. As unbelievable as it may seem, she is definitely a legend in the making. It all started during the 2012 Presidential elections when she made a video supporting President Obama wearing a ‘Hope’ shirt with his image. She became extremely popular with this video and has since been flooded with creative opportunities in the social media.

Life changed for Caitlyn Price when Floyd Mayweather’s personal assistant discovered her on Instagram. Mayweather found her to be hilarious and immediately offered her an opportunity to be a part of ‘The Money Team’, a lifestyle conglomerate that includes a talent management company for kids. The prospect was a huge one and gave Cece the wings to aim and fly higher. Since then, she has been on a roll producing videos for her fans and followers since then. Her first live show was on March 1, 2014 at her hometown’s Mardi Gras, which was houseful as the auditorium which seated 1000 people was quickly sold out. She also went to Las Vegas to promote the Mayweather match against Manny Pacquiao.

In 2015, Caitlyn’s family moved to Los Angeles to give her a wider perspective and a greater opportunity. It was an apprehensive move for the family, as they wanted her to break out of the social media into the larger entertainment industry, and yet their earlier, unfruitful move to Hollywood loomed large in their anxieties. Last time they had to return unsuccessful from LA after a former manager who had promised them a world of opportunities in the industry had failed them. They returned to Bogalusa and continued with ‘The Cece Show’.

Over the years, Cece’s fan following immensely expanded, crossing the one-million mark on Instagram. On Vine as well, she had a huge fan following. Vine was archived on January 2015. People loved her comedic impersonations, which made her an internet starlet. From Beyonce to Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey to Kim Kardashian, Megan Trainor to Martin Lawrence, the little wonder girl has aped everyone. Given her talent and skill, it wouldn’t be long before she achieves her mother’s wish to be a television star!
