She started dating Verne Troyer from 2007 and remained his partner until his death in April 2018. At the time of his death, she was living with him along with her son.

Her claim to fame began when she started appearing as a Playboy Bunny for the international magazine Playboy.
Although popularly known as Brittney Powell today, she went by the name Brittney Rache in the early 1990s. Her first appearance in media was in the Playboy video ‘Playboy: Girls of Spring Break’ in 1991. She playED herself in the video.
Her natural charisma coupled along with her looks helped her land a role in ‘The Round Trip to Heaven’ in 1992. The film, however, wasn’t a success.
In 1992, she appeared in an episode of ‘Harry and the Hendersons’ titled ‘The Old Bigfoot’. She also guest starred in the TV series ‘2000 Malibu Road’.
She bagged a more substantial role in the American sitcom ‘California Dreams’. She appeared in three episodes and was billed as a recurring character.
She was seen in varying roles in TV series such as ‘Eden’ (1993), ‘Saved by the Bell: The College Years’ (1993), ‘The Commish’ (1994), ‘Saved by the Bell: The New Class’ (1994) and ‘Heaven Help Us’ (1994). She also made a regular appearance in ‘Weird Science’ (1994–1997).
Despite being around the circuit for a long time, Powell’s most recognized moment was her role as Dr. Randy Minki in the comedy web series ‘Safety Geeks: SVI’. She was a recurring character in the series.
Her most successful movie, both critically and commercially, was her latest movie ‘Trouble is My Business’. She was not only the lead actress, but also wrote the script. The film won many awards at film festivals.
