Brandon Larracuente

Brandon Larracuente was born on November 16, 1994, in Pleasantville, New York. His family later shifted to Florida.He belongs to a Puerto Rican family. Both his parents were New York City police officers. His father Israel Larracuente is a retired New York homicide detective. Brandon is fluent in Spanish. He revealed in an interview that he was bullied as a kid and thus he hit the gym and became a fitness freak when he grew up. He has a girlfriend named Jazmin Garcia.

When he was six years old, his father took him to see a WWE event at Madison Square Garden and since then he has been a fan of Dwayne Johnson’s. He was very excited to work with the actor in the film ‘Baywatch’.

Brandon Larracuente started his acting career as a child actor at the age of eight, when he appeared in the Off-Broadway show, ‘Desire’. He was next featured in ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ at the Orlando Repertory Theatre. In 2013, he debuted on the small screen in ‘The Glades’ followed by ‘Every Witch Way’ and ‘Constantine’ in 2014. Till date, he has three films to his credit including ‘Max Steel’ in 2016 and ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Bright’ in 2017. He played minor roles in all of these.

His talent was finally recognized and he tasted success with the portrayal of the character Ben Rayburn in 2015 Netflix original thriller ‘Bloodline’, developed by Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman, and produced by Sony Pictures Television. He appeared in 18 episodes of the series, which ran till 2017.

In 2017, he portrayed the role of Jeff Atkins on another Netflix series, ‘13 Reasons Why,’ a mystery drama based on the novel titled ‘Thirteen Reasons Why’ by Jay Asher. Brian Yorkey adapted it for Netflix. While Brandon had initially auditioned for Zach Dempsey’s role, he was selected to play Jeff Atkins. Although Brandon appeared in only six episodes, his character became so popular amongst the teens that when Jeff Atkins died in a car accident, his fans demanded that Jeff Atkins’ character deserves to stay longer in the series. It is to be seen if the producers decide to bring back his character or not.
