Bradley Colburn

Bradley Colburn was born on February 10, 1987, in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up there along with his sister. Bradley graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2011 with a major in Information Science. He dropped out of his higher studies in order to pursue his YouTube career.

Bradley is in a relationship with an Afro-American girl who has been featured in many of his commentary videos. Some of his favorite games are ‘Silent Hill: Downpour,’ ‘Heavy Rain’ and ‘Catherine’. His least favorite game is ‘Duke Nukem Forever’. Bradley uses gaming platforms like Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. He owns a pet dog named Chubbs. He has posted many of his photographs, clicked along with his pet dog, on his Instagram account.

Bradley started gaming in 2010, when he was in college. As he had a lot of free time, he decided to create a YouTube channel named ‘theRadBrad’ and started posting interesting videos on his YouTube channel. The first video that he uploaded was about a game called ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’.

Initially, he just wanted to get some attention on social media and wanted people to know about his passion for video games. To his surprise, he gathered around 10,000 subscribers within the first few days of creating his channel. He soon became extremely popular in the gaming scenario, thanks to his useful video game walkthroughs and the manner in which he commentated on various video games. He also came up with cool and humorous catchphrases which his fans loved to hear.

He then started working for ‘Best Buy,’ an online shopping site. The following year, he completed his graduation and received an offer from ‘Machinima,’ a global YouTube gaming network. The offer was lucrative and his job at the company was related to his passion, so he accepted the offer and quit his job at ‘Best Buy’. The networking company asked him to post videos through the company’s sites which Bradley thought would help his career. Unfortunately, neither was he paid for the videos nor did he get any credits. Hence he decided to post videos individually on his channel, but continued working for ‘Machinima’.

He then worked on his skills and did every possible thing in order to entertain his fans and guide them through difficult levels. ‘Let’s Play,’ a walkthrough series that he posted on his YouTube channel in 2010, has now become a guidebook for many video game players. Bradley gained in popularity when he started imparting several variations to his commentary videos. His animated expressions when he fails to clear a particular level and usage of profanity have attracted a lot of viewers. When Bradley started making a lot of money through his YouTube videos, he decided to become a full-time YouTuber.

Bradley made a conscious effort to come up with unique videos. He even made keen observation on the game plan of other gamers and tried not to imitate others. He knew that imitating others' game plan would hamper his popularity. He also tries to be the first to upload the walkthroughs of any newly launched games. He plays a number of games, such as ‘Call of Duty,’ ‘Cry of Fear,’ ‘Walking Dead,’ ‘Silent Hill: Downpour,’ ‘Heavy Rain’ and almost all Minecraft games.
