Boyd Holbrook was born as Robert Boyd Holbrook on September 1, 1981 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to Don and Ellen Holbrook. He learnt acting at William Esper Studio's Meisner Acting Program. Holbrook later on attended Shane Ann Younts' voice and speech program and received an SCPS Certificate from New York University. He was once engaged to actress Elizabeth Olsen. After ending his relationship with Olsen, the actor started dating Maika Monroe.
Boyd Holbrook started his career as a model. He has worked for the agencies Elite Models and Wilhelmina Models as well as modelled for brands and designers like Gucci, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Hugo Boss, DSquared², Bill Blass, Moschino, Versus and Jean Paul Gaultier.
