Bostyn Isabelle Brown was born on November 27, 2003 in Queen Creek, Arizona, to Jake and Lisa Brown. She is also known by her nicknames 'Boss' and 'Toofer'. She has two older sisters, Kenedy (bon in 1999) and Brynklie Brown (born in 2001), who are also dancers. Like her older sisters, her parents enrolled her for dance classes at Club Dance Studio in Arizona. She and her sister Brynklie are now students at Highland High School, where they are part of the dance team, Highland Hawkettes. As part of the team, they perform at Hawks football games, as well as participate in regional and national competitions. Their mother is one of the two dance coaches for the team. While her dance troupe 'Fresh Faces' has been disbanded, she is still best friends with her teammates Dylynn Jones, Jaycee Wilkins, Jenna Valenzuela and Brynn Rumfallo. She has been dancing with Jenna since they were only three years old. Her family has two pet dogs.
Bostyn Brown began dancing at the age of three, following her older sisters Kenedy and Brynklie, who were dancers at Club Dance Studio in Arizona. She competed in her first solo at the age of six, and by the time she was eight years old, she was already participating in various state-level dance competitions all around her home state of Arizona. A few years later, she began participating in national level competitions across the United States.
She first gained media attention in 2013, when she and four of her friends from Club Dance Studio – Dylynn Jones, Brynn Rumfallo, Jenna Valenzuela, and Jaycee Wilkins – formed the dance troupe 'Fresh Faces', mentored by their dance teacher Alexa Moffett, and auditioned for the eighth season of NBC network reality television show, 'America's Got Talent'. They soon became the fan favorites, but failed to win the competition after being eliminated in the quarter-finals following appearances in three episodes. They next began posting pictures and videos of them on social media, dancing as a group, which earned them a huge online fan base. She later created a YouTube channel and began posting vlog videos every Saturdays, even though she is less active on YouTube currently. She has 96k followers on Instagram.
Over the past years, Bostyn Brown has managed to win several dance titles through her performances. In 2012, she finished as runner-up for the 'Regional JUMP Mini Female VIP' and 'Regional NUVO Mini Female Breakout Artist' titles. The following year, she again fell short of both the titles, once more finishing second for both. In 2014, she won both the 'Regional JUMP Mini Female VIP' and 'Regional NUVO Mini Female Breakout Artist' titles, as well as the 'Regional 24/SEVEN Mini Female Nonstop Dancer' award, and also finished as the 1st runner-up for the 'National Mini Female Best Dancer' title. The next year, she came second for the 'Regional 24/SEVEN Junior Female Nonstop Dancer' title and was the 2nd runner-up for the 'National Junior Female Best Dancer' award. Starting in 2015, she won two back-to-back 'Regional NUVO Junior Female Breakout Artist' titles. She was named the 'National Junior Female Best Dancer' in 2016 and won the 'Regional JUMP Teen Female VIP' award in 2018.
