Beth Riesgraf

Beth Riesgraf was born Beth Jean Riesgraf on August 24, 1978 to Elroy Othmar Riesgraf and Janet Ann Riesgraf. She was the youngest of the six daughters born to the couple. Just like her father, Beth was blessed with an infectious smile and fun loving spirit. During her growing up years, young Beth frequented the theatre along with her grandmother. These early visits built a foundation for love and interest in acting. She was also extremely fond of camera and photography as a child.

Beth Riegraf attained her formal education from Cimarron Memorial High School in Las Vegas. While at school, Riesgraf was the student body president, senior prom queen, a member of the photography club and voted ‘Most Admired Senior’. Graduating with honors, Riesgraf moved to LA wherein she started her career in modelling. Eventually, Riesgraf realized her real calling was as an actor. She made her acting debut in 1999 and since then there has been no looking back.

On the personal front, Riesgraf was in a relationship with Jason Lee. After years of dating, the duo welcomed their son, Pilot Inspektor Lee, in 2003. However, things went sour between the two as they headed for split in 2007. Riesgraf and Lee even tried Scientology to help cement their relationship yet again but the situation worsened.

Only a few children have in them a love for art and entertainment since a young age and Beth Riesgraf is one amongst them. When she was young, photography stirred up her mind and heart but soon love for being in front of camera took over. When Riesgraf moved from Las Vegas to LA, modelling became her chosen profession. Soon, it led to auditions and she found work in commercials.

Her debut role as an actor was for the televisions series ‘Undressed’ in 1999. In 2000, she made her debut in films with ‘The Summer of My Deflowering’. This was just the beginning as more films came her way including ‘I Love Your Work’, ‘Struck’, ‘A Standard Story’, ‘Scorcher’ and ‘Nobody’. However, it was her role in 2007 ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ that gained her recognition.

Over the years, Riesgraf has also made her place in television. She has worked in several television series’, such as ‘The Stereo Sound Agency’, ‘Spin City’, ‘My Name is Earl’, ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Big Shots’, ‘Leverage’, ‘NCIS’, ‘Without a Trace’, ‘Criminal Minds’ and ‘The Surgeon General’. From 2008 to 2012, she took up main role of Parker for the TNT television series ‘Leverage’. The series was highly acclaimed and won her a couple of nominations for Best Supporting Actor. Later in 2013 she was seen in ‘Perception’ and ‘The Mentalist’. Her latest outing on screen has been a main role in 2015 series ‘Complications’ and a recurring role in ‘The Librarians’. Despite being an actor by profession, her passion for photography hasn’t died down. Her photos have been published in a variety of renowned magazines and have been exhibited in London, New York and Los Angeles.
