Personal Life

Beth Britt gained the attention of international media after she began dating Jeff Hardy in 1999. Since then, she has continuously supported him in every possible way and has often accompanied him to various events. After the birth of their first daughter, she often graced the pages of tabloids due to speculations about their relationship status until they finally got married in March 2011.

Rise to Stardom

Beth Britt met Jeff Hardy for the first time in 1999 in a club in Southern Pines, North Carolina where Jeff and his wrestler brother and tag team partner Matt Hardy went after their first win at the 'WWF Tag Team Championships'. The two began dating soon after and later moved in together. They kept their relationship low-key for a long time, which sometimes prompted some fans to speculate about Jeff's romantic involvements, including one link-up with fellow WWE wrestler Mickie James, but the rumors seem to be baseless.

On March 15, 2008, the house they lived in got burnt to the ground, killing their pet dog Jack, but they fortunately escaped the accident as they were not at home at the time. Jeff immediately started building a new house at the same spot. In late 2009, rumors began to spread that the two were married, or at least engaged, after fans noticed a ring on Jeff's hand, as well as the fact that Beth was being referred to as 'Beth Hardy' on the web series, 'Hardy Show'. In August 2010, after they had been together for over a decade, Jeff made the announcement that Beth was pregnant with their first child. Beth gave birth to their eldest daughter Ruby Claire Hardy on October 19, 2010. The couple was reportedly pressurized to get married earlier by family and friends, but finally tied the knot on March 9, 2011. They welcomed another daughter named Nera Quinn Hardy on December 31, 2015.

Relationship with Jeff Hardy

Beth Britt had to deal with her then-boyfriend Jeff Hardy's drug addiction throughout the 2000s. He was released from WWE for the first time for drug use in April 2003. While he returned to WWE in August 2006, he had to drop his Intercontinental Championship title and was suspended for violating the company's substance abuse policy for a second time in March 2008. He signed a contract with TNA Impact Wrestling after being fired by WWE in 2009, and became even more reliant on drugs. In September that year, he was arrested on drug trafficking charges and pled guilty over a year later, when he was sentenced to ten days in jail, 30 months of probation, and a fine of $100,000. It was Beth who convinced him to check into rehab to save their family.

Controversies & Scandals

Beth again found herself in the middle of another legal mess with TNA owner Anthem after the Hardy brothers left the company in early 2017 and returned to WWE. Anthem claimed that the 'Broken' gimmick and the Hardy children were their property as "contractually anything created by contracted performers while in TNA is owned 100% by Anthem" including "intellectual property AND human beings". This caused a huge controversy, with legal experts opining that Beth might get half custody of their children as she was not under contract, while Jeff's brother Matt and his wife wrestler Reby Sky, both signed to TNA at the time, might lose custody of their son Maxel. While the two brothers sought legal help, both Beth and Ruby vehemently criticized Anthem on social media. Many fans and influential people from wrestling sided with the parents, which eventually forced Anthem to release the ownership of the gimmick and settle the issue in late 2017.
