Ben Jardine

Ben Jardine was born as Benjamin Jardine in 1982 in Bromley, a town in the London Borough of Bromley, Greater London, England. While he stated that he was raised as a Catholic boy and had claimed to take marriages seriously, he failed to show enough effort on his part to save his marriage to Stephanie.

Ben Jardine rose to fame as a participant on the controversial reality television 'Married At First Sight', aired on Channel 4. During the third season of the show, he got married to Stephanie Saintremy, a complete stranger, in front of the camera. Since then, he has stayed on the news due to his frivolous lifestyle and questionable life choices. Most recently, he stirred up drama on the sets of another reality TV show, 'Celebrity Big Brother', after appearing as a housemate on Series 22 of the show in August 2018. Thanks to his reality TV fame, he has also amassed fans on social media, especially on Instagram.

Considering that Ben Jardine got married to a stranger on television, it is hardly a surprise that his life will be full of very public scandals and controversies. At the age of 36, he had married the then-32-year-old police woman Stephanie Saintremy on his first public appearance on the reality TV show, 'Married At First Sight', on September 30, 2017. In January 2018, while still married to Stephanie, he was seen getting cozy with a friend who claimed that the two have been in a relationship for some time. It was also revealed that he had a one night stand with another friend, who later became pregnant with his child. Amidst all these, he went on to appear for an interview on FUBAR Radio and announced that he was going to split with Stephanie, which left her heartbroken. While he later admitted that he didn't love Stephanie, he also maintained that both of them had tried "to make it work", stating that he didn't get married to get divorced.

To prove his point, he revealed that he had not even thought that the two of them would have to stay together for a year before they can get a divorce as per UK law. According to him, he announced his decision to separate on radio six months into the relationship to be honest with himself, and to Stephanie, after all the lying, and to be fair to those thinking they would "sort it out". During the Radio interview, he also got flirty with host Lizzie Cundy and told other guest Luisa Zissman that Steph "was a little bit suffocating". Interestingly, after sharing clips from the interview on her Instagram, Zissman was criticized by fans for bullying Steph as she called her a psycho and even body-shamed her.

While the divorce proceedings were on with Stephanie, Ben had moved in his South London home with his girlfriend, Silvia Sanchis, who was carrying his child. This information was revealed as he appeared on 'Celebrity Big Brother' in August 2018, during which he became very attached to 'Emmerdale' actress Roxanne Pallett, who was also involved in a relationship outside the show. The two were inseparable; he supported her on her false punching allegations against housemate Ryan Thomas, and even went on to express his love for her. Shocked, Sanchis blamed both of them for taking "relationships very lightly", and went on to accuse Pallett of "leading him on". Admitting that she loved Ben and was planning a life together with their child, she revealed her intention to split from him following the incident and left his house by the time he came back to it after being evicted from the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house. While she admitted that she very much wants her child to have a father, according to her, there is an 80-20 chance of them splitting.
