Originally from Fresno, California, Bekah Martinez, moved to Los Angeles during the filming of ‘The Bachelor’. Before becoming famous as part of the reality TV series, ‘The Bachelor’, she worked as a nanny and pursued her degree at the University of California. She was cast among the 29 contestants in the 22nd season of ‘The Bachelor’ that was aired in January 2018. The show involves a chosen bachelor who dates various contestants to find his true companion after a series of dates, experiences, and activites. In this season, Bekah participated to win the heart of Arie Luyendyk Jr., an auto racing driver. She was among the more popular contestants on the show owing to her unique haircut. In no time, she became viewers’ favourite contestant. She was subsequently covered and interviewed by various magazines and news outlets, like Teen Vogue and People Magazine. Bekah’s coveted role was envied by many other teenagers, but she confessed that the whole show was more difficult and stressful than initially expected. Bekah went on to appear for the majority of the season until the segment of ‘hometown dates’ as her age constantly cropped as a deciding factor for Arie. Though slated to appear in its sequel series ‘Bachelor in Paradise’, Bekah chose to opt out to focus on her life and relationships.

After the series, Bekah returned to Los Angeles but did not go back to nannying as she had become immensely popular. She was seen in an episode of ‘Poker Night in America’ in April 2018.
